Product Discerptions: Pigeon pea is commonly known as arhar or toor dal. It has its origins in the Eastern part of peninsular India. It is used widely in India. Pigeon peas dal is a food staple food and goes well with rice to chapatis and naan 6 pieces of curry leaves Jaggery powder as required 1 tsp turmeric 4 green chili 2 tsp cumin seeds 6 cups of water 2 large tomatoes finely chopped Salt as required pinch of asafoetida 5 tsp ghee or sunflower oil take a bowl of water soak pigeon pes dal in it for an hour Add turmeric powder, salt, and pigeon peas dal, and drop few drops of oil to the dal and mix them well. Bring it to boil on a lower flame boil the dal for 20to 25 minutes until dal is fully cooked. place another pan on a medium heat flame, pour cumin seeds, asafoetida and fry for 2 to 3minutes until seeds splutter. combine this pigeon peas dal in the same pan and cook it on a low flame. Now add tomatoes, green chili jaggery, and curry leaves and cook the mixture for 10to 12 minutes and garnish
